Special Events 2024
Townsend and other towns in the Smoky Mountains host special events throughout the year. Thousands of motorcyclists and automobile enthusiasts come to the area every year for rallies and to experience the thrills on the area's scenic roads. They love the hospitality and easy access to the Foothills Parkway and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With the rich vocal and instrumental traditions of the Southern mountains, concerts and music festivals are a favorite in the lineup of Townsend events -- bluegrass and country music and melodies of gospel music.
