Rocky Branch Mountain Music Every Friday night, year 'round, starting at 6pm You haven't completed your visit to the Smoky Mountains until you have been to Rocky Branch Community Center for a night of mountain music jamming. The former old schoolhouse has been turned into a music center where world-class bluegrass musicians gather every Friday night to play their favorite oldies in a very casual environment. Visitors can choose from a variation of styles. Musicians play in groups in separate rooms. There are 5 rooms to choose from -- gospel music, traditional bluegrass songs, mountain music, and other genres. Visitors are welcome to bring their own instruments and join in at any time -- as long as you play bluegrass or mountain style. Directions: From Townsend, turn left onto Rocky Branch Road beside Rivermill Antique Mall. The Rocky Branch Community Center is on the left at the intersection of Rocky Branch and Mount Nebo Roads.
Rocky Branch doesn't have a physical address, but you can punch in 4632 Rocky Branch Road, Walland, TN 37886 and it'll get you close enough that you'll be able to see the old school. |
