Upper Tremont Road

Upper Tremont Road in Great Smoky Mountains National Park extends for two miles in one of the park's most scenic areas. You will find hiking and horseback riding trails. Fishing is a popular outdoor activity here, particularly fly fishing.

Directions: From Townsend, enter the National Park then turn right at the Wye. You will see a sign for Tremont in about 2 miles. Turn left at the sign. There are a couple of areas where you can pull over and have a picnic for a few people. There are no picnic tables, but if you have lawn chairs, these are perfect spots on the river.
